MULTI-PURPOSE TORCH LIGHTER - The Slate Torch is a multi-purpose lighter in every sense of the word. First thing that will catch its would-be owners’ attention is its built-in tray. The Slate Torch is equipped with a durable alloy body (which is also the material used for the actual tray) with a removable silicone liner. This means you can roll your spliffs and assemble your joints on top of the working tray. The silicone liner also makes it a good place to cut down waxy concentrates for micro dosing during wax concentrate sessions. The housing of the Slate Torch is finished with a beautiful brushed aluminum look to give it that modern yet classy look. The removable silicone liner is transparent so as to not take away from the luster of the Slate Torch.

PIEZO IGNITION TECHNOLOGY - The Slate Torch is equipped with Piezo Ignition Technology, which ensures fast flame production that works almost every time. Compared to traditional spark wheel lighters, the Piezo ignition equipped in the Slate Torch makes for a more reliable ignition system. Instead of relying on sparks produced by a wheel, Piezo Ignition uses a small spring-loaded hammer that hits an inorganic compound called lead zirconium titanate — aka PZT. The result is the creation of a high voltage with an electrical current that ignites the butane fuel that powers the Slate Torch.

ADJUSTABLE FLAME SETTING - Another good reason why consumers should heavily consider getting the Slate Torch is because it has an adjustable flame setting. This means that the flame can be customized to meet the needs and the requirements of the consumer, whatever that may be. The Slate Torch can reach temperatures up to 2500°F or 1371°C. In addition, the actual flame can reach 12-inches long. With those numbers in mind, one can really tell that the possibilities when using the Slate Torch are endless. For one, the lower temperature levels can be used to light up a cigar or a cigarette. Meanwhile, the mid temperature level is perfect for when needs to light up a bowl — albeit one needs to slightly tip the bowl sideways for the herbs to catch the flame. Finally, the highest temperature level will best suit the needs of dab rig users as well as those who use manually-heated nectar collectors. They can dab straight out of their wax jars or scoop the wax concentrates they have cut down on the built-in tray using a dab tool.

THERMOCHROMIC MUZZLE - Like other Yocan Red torch lighters, the Slate Torch is also equipped with a thermochromic muzzle that changes its colors depending on the temperature it is exposed to.
